The last few months I have noted that I'm missing more and more. So much so I did a fast calculation and based on ammo used by my Opalo in the last year I have put in around 850PED of ammo just in missing.

I have to admit, I seem to miss a lot too, even on weapons with high ha. I have funny suspicion that the no loots are going to go away and be replaced by more misses, but I'm hoping someone at Mindark can post a reply here and confirm that that is not what is happening.

Did you use the fails too in your calcs? As I understood from MA the fails are a result of lag and there is no actual ammo loss. I don't notice any serious increase in misses. But I didnt do any logging I must admit. Regards, Roni

Those numbers don't actually tell us anything. In order to say that misses are increasing, you'd have to show the fraction of total shots that result in misses, and see if that fraction has changed. Also remember that any change in weapon setup will change the miss to hit ratio.

4,056 misses out of how many shots? 5,000 or 5,000,000.
There's an average miss rate that corresponds to skill level and which weapon you use. My initial guess is if you're seeing a real increase in the % of misses (not just more misses due to shooting more) than you changed what gear you're using and using something you aren't maxed on. |

Specifically, 1,903 shots, using 0.09 ped of ammo/shot on that gun. 1,903x0.09=171.27 so you buy exactly that much ammo for the hunt. Any ammo left over was looted. Just go to Entropedia's weapon page look up your weapon/amp combo, and check the ammo and total uses columns. Just remember to account for finisher weapons too, if needed.
