Unfortunately I lost around 100~200 ped on this gamble so was left with 1200. I am now down to around 800 peds because of the fact that those punies never drop anything. I've maxed the M2100, Vivo T1 and am almost done maxing the vivo T5. Skills are worth something they say, but not enough yet to sell them and get back my losses.

I think sweat price should go up a little since I am not going to be able to deposit anymore after august (dont ask me why), but still want to play. With play I mean make progress. So I dont want to sweat for 3 months in order to go on a damn puny hunt. If the sweatprice would go up to lets say 3-5 ped, thats already a huge difference! Every ped per k sweat is a huge succes for all sweaters. I wish sweaters would just combine their forces and go on a strike for 2 weeks, but then again too many noobs and others that don't want to do this.

sweaters I say GL and see you soon im afraid
sorry to hear about your loss, still that should not have been unexpected. Anyway you should have a look for a good mentor, then you should be able to get enough advice to cycle your peds a couple of months.

You admit it yourself: you took a gamble. Lost 200 PED. Ask yourself: if you were in a RL casino and lost 20 USD..would that feel as a big loss? The chance that it would have worked out are very slim over 1 hunt (I guess a LT hunt is around 500-1000 PED per run). And I guess, but correct me if Im wrong, that you thought seeing all the globals on LT it was a smart move. Sorry, it doesnt work that way. Global chat is mere MA advertising, nothing less, nothing more. returns on hunting or any professions needs to be evaluated over years, not one run. The one that got lucky fast...they just got lucky. And maybe this sounds weird..those are usually not that ones that stick around in Entropia for a long time. Cause after being lucky they find out that the PEDs dissapear very fast cause they dont understand how it works.

If you prefer hunting as a profession and want to minimise losses there are some options. Sweat the mob first before killing. But even better IMHO is group hunting. With low level mobs you wont even need armor and maybe even hardly any healing, which means your repair bills will be lower. If the group is big enough you can even try some mid level mobs whit Opalo's/M1200 which gives nicer loot. You might make some good friends that way too.

Another way of making your PEDs last longer is start mining. I think the F101 is nice for a starter miner. Get 500 PED probes, keep some PEDs for repairs at hand. Sell all your claims with MU on auction. Or streetwise, but you will prolly get a little less then.. Anyway, hunting or mining...you will want to do research what to hunt or mine before you even start. This might take longer, with all the selling, but it will def save you PEDs.

On the issue of raising sweat price. Much has allready been said on that topic. As sweat is part of the economy its very easy to unbalance it by reaising the price. As already someone pointed out: sweat allready has one of the highest MU in Entropia.
Someone else suggested that sweathers should go on strike for 2 weeks. I think if everyone stopped sweating for a year there will still be enough sweat available. Yes, there is that much with different players in stock.
I dont know how other players look at this, but if I see a new player really trying hard to learn and be a part of Entropia..I buy sweat..at a fairly decent rate. But also tell them to quit sweating ASAP. Maybe in the beginning you get some basic skills like evade...but that stops pretty fast. And the whole sweating profession is a non-issue. Looks cool in your prof/tag....but it aint worth anything.

regards, Roni
