Deed Payout

I bought the land-ownership deeds more than 2 weeks ago without a single payout yet.
When do these payouts come? Isn't it supposed to be weekly or perhaps I am missing anything?

Right click on your PED card in inventory, select PED transfer centre(?). This should bring up a new window showing ped flow for things like deeds and land areas. In there you can transfer any balances to your ped card. CLDs are paid out at midnight Monday, assuming no delays.

Thank you!
That helped.
Both weeks are there.
In the description there was something about land claim.
I got 9 Deeds and I should be able to claim some land.
Does anyone know how it is done?

This is to be announced sometime in the future and isn't implemented yet, along with a voting system about the development of calypso for deed holders.

I think if I remember correctly that MA said they would begin development on the land owning system in 2013. Once implimented they said that they were planning on having some kind of homesteading event where you could run out and stake your claims like in the old west. Each deed would be equal to one 100x100 meter square plot of land. If you had 9 deeds and managed to plot them in a 3x3 square area then you would be able to build a house on it.

The voting system I think they said they would impliment at the ending of 2012 or beginning of 2013.

I'm a little new to this so bare with me: You're saying that each plot deed is worth 100x100 meters? And yet I need 9 of them together to build a house correct?

Also, does that work for a regular land deed (I guess the traditional ones that don't represent a revenue share or voting)? I've seen several land deeds on the auction house but my guess is that they are not the same as the ones we're discussing here.

Yes. Each land deed (according to MA) will be equal to a 100x100 meter square plot of land and you will need 9 of them plotted in a 3x3 square to be able to build a house. That would be a 300x300 square meter plot of land. To get an idea of ingame size you can use your Vibrant Sweat Tool. You can look on the item info, but if I remember right the tool has a range of about 30 meters. So, click on a mob and have your ava walk up to it until it is sweating the mob at max range and see how far 30 meters is, then times that in your mind by about 3. There are many housing settlements on Calypso where you can see the average size of a house.

Nope, the normal Land Deeds will not work in the same way. You will need a "Calypso Land Deed" which is the revenue one. However, you can technically ask MA to build anything you want in the game anywhere you want it, it'll just cost you some PEDs. For example: A friend of mine once asked MA if they would build him a small house near one of his favorite hunting areas. MA said: "Sure, but it'll cost you about 60kPED." I'm hoping and guessing that the CLDs in a 3x3 square will intitle the owner to a free house, but until MA puts the system together we won't know.

Thank you, I appreciate the answer. Though I'm a little confused, I will need 900 USD to buy enough land to build a house in a video game? I'm sorry if I completely misunderstand but that seems...well...ridiculous to put it lightly.

And I will need to pay MA to build something for me otherwise, that's cool I didn't realize they did that. So where would I purchase a regular land deed and will I still require 9 of them to build a building?

Thanks for the patience

It depends exactly what you're after.

At present there are Estate Deeds for things like apartments and houses which have been around for 6+years.
An apartment on Calypso might cost you 200-400ped depending on location. There are lots of these ingame, and they come up for sale pretty frequently on Auction.
There are far fewer houses, and they might sell for more like 5-10kped, and they're sold much less often. And then there are the handful of 'castles' that very rarely change hands.

Other 'non-housing' estate deeds cover shops, spaceship hangars and 'Outback Land Areas'.

There are also the Calypso Land Deeds (CLD), which are still in development.
These were initially released with a price of 1000ped but are now being resold at cost 1290-1350ped or so each. Each CLD held entitles you to a portion of the Gross Planet Partner Revenue for Calypso - on average about 4.76ped/wk.
At present there is no 'land' attached to the deed, this will come in a future update, together with voting rights. For more information, see the page about them on theentropiauniverse website.
