Exclamation Is Entropia Universe considered laissez faire?

Though I would like to believe so, with regulations such as TT value, commodity regulation and a fixed currency exchange rate I have my doubts...(I think i know the answer to my own question i just need some insight).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laissez-faire
Quote:
Laissez-faire (Listeni/ˌlɛseɪˈfɛər-/, French: [lɛsefɛʁ] ( listen)) is an economic environment in which transactions between private parties are free from tariffs, government subsidies, and enforced monopolies, with only enough government regulations sufficient to protect property rights against theft and aggression. The phrase laissez-faire is French and literally means "let [them] do", but it broadly implies "let it be", or "leave it alone." A laissez-faire state and completely free market has never existed, though the degree of government regulation varies considerably.[1][2]
free from tarrifs, government subsidies and enforced monopolies? Nope... We have taxes in game, bank monopolies in game, auction house fees, etc., and that's all above and beyond the stuff you already mentioned.

Cool Small note

There is no tax or fee on direct person to person (private) trades.

The auction system is indeed taxed though - as if the auction were a third-party broker. A private shop is also taxed by the landowner, presumably mimicking the real world model.

So I think it's important to understand whether you mean direct person to person trade or trade via "an intermediary sales avenue".

Mindarks "balancing manager" controls the supply, hence he (indirectly) controls the MU.
