Old school PE people?

Anyone around from back in the day think it's worth returning? I quit a long ass time ago before jumping had a retarded animation lol and things were nice and simple. I'm considering a pretty in depth return as I miss the game style and just really don't want to go back to WoW. Are you an old PE lover and still loving it currently? I also take it theres no more IRC chat or anything any of the old chat crowd hangs in?

Hmm there are alot of oldies comming back atm since bout 4 months back. Myself beeing one of them.

It al in the ends comes down to why did U stop?
Has the loot changed for the better? the short asnwer is most likely no.

Is the communtiy MA communication better 4etc?
Well yes if U go to arkadia. Alot of the things we have been asking for for years exist in arkadia. Ofcourse MA still rules the universe hence loot and bigger changes is still bollocks. But Ateam is doing a really good job and they are the ones currently keeping me igm. I will stay here and the more power and influence Ateam gets the better. however on the downside the good coms they have with us MA might continue to shut down and if so well then its a different story.

So in short. Come back but do so on arkadia and dont hunt to profit. If that is your thing then come join in. Ark is good and will get better

You could say that these days there's more than one community, as opposed to "the community" from back in the days. Back then one IRC was enough.

I don't know of any popular IRC chat. When soc chat is not sufficient, most societies or groups of friends use ventrilo/skype/other equivalent instead, as far as I know.

Been a long time since I even visited the forum let alone the game. 1st night I decide to have a look (looking in the favorates section of my web browser on old computer) it seems I have had to re-create an account here

1st time I log on for a look though and this is the thread I see.....must be a sign!!

I too have been thinking of getting back into it, I've logged in every 6-12 months for the last 4 years so I wouldnt loose skills/equipment ect but all the changes that have taken place since I sank 5 hours a night into it and I dont know if I'd accept the changes so to speak. Plus i'm getting older so finding it hard to accept change in general!

Anyone out there come back off a 2-4 year break and got back into it like they used to??

I originally joined in 2006, and played extensively for a year. I then stayed away, but logged in every so often to avoid losing the avatar, until a year ago.

I think I'm more into it than previously, even though I'm fairly old (despite my avatar's appearance). Changes are annoying, but inevitable - as you get older you should have had so many changes in your life you should now be *more* accepting of them than before! <grin>

Just FYI, old EF was sold/made into www.planetcalypsoforum.com - and later EF was remade again as a whole-universe forum. EF is much less active than PCF.

Indeed

I took a long break myself (1½ year I guess with selling out) but returned full time around 1-1½ year ago, and I find it better than ever. Love space and the new possibilities/action available. Planets, missions, instants, vehicles... etc. Check it out

I just made a comeback myself.

I sold out because I needed the money IRL, and was a little bit bored anyway. After selling out, it just wasn't the same anymore for me, and the boredom got way worse, and I finalle quit.

I was away 2-3 years, where I just logged in once in a while to keep my account alive.

After returning there's so much new stuff, that it's almost as exciting as when I first startet (2004).
I still miss the gear I sold, (can't afford to buy it back), but overall it's been a very pleasant surprise to experience all the new things.
And I haven't even left Calypso yet.
So much to see.
