Hi, a friend of mine would like to move to my planet.
Problem is, he would like to take his textures with him.

Is traveling with a mothership save against pirates and Co. ?

If so, is there any timetable for mothership flights between caly and ark ?

I think flying with a MS like the Normandie is the safest yes. Maybe this thread can help you along:

I'd say you can consider the Normandie as close to 100% as possible in the game. At least until there's a threat with the ability and motivation to take it down.

There several other motherships and privateers that offer safe flights, though I am not positive any others have scheduled flights at this time. On any privateer or mothership, you have the ability to log off during your trip, and as long as you log back in when the ship is safely docked at your destination (knowing that is the key), your loot will be safe. You can then teleport down to the planet from the space station for a cost of 7 ped.

And as we saw this weekend, even the Normandie can be shot down if you have more than a dozen quads shooting in the right places, partly because mothership guns are not fully implemented. And certainly one or more motherships can shoot down another. But... at the first sign of trouble you can log off. Assuming the SI on your ship is strong enough, you will be completely logged out before any looting can occur (it takes about 20 seconds from the time you log out). You just have to arrange for a way to be notified when the ship is safely at your destination. This is currently a feature of motherships and privateers. Note, though that if the ship is not upgraded, it can be destroyed in a matter of seconds... not enough time for you to react and log out.

Stagger, I hate to say it and rub it in, because I know you guys got no loot from the Normandie, but I personally had 2k ped worth of ores on me that day and the Normandie's SI kept it safe from your gang of 15 pirates.... So I'd say it's a pretty safe mode of travel

well when MA fixes the logoff issue,
travel with motherships will no longer be safe.

Right now indeed they have godmode gifted by MA
