Hi Rick, welcome to Entropia
![]() Ammo isn't like bullets (one per shot), it's more like an energy charge. Each gun uses a specific amount of ammo per shot, and pretty much every gun in the game used a different number. So, open your inventory, and find the Weapons tab. Right-clik on the gun, and take a look at the Item Info page. One of the entries will be the ammo required/shot. Then compare that to the ammo you have in your inventory. Once you've left the beginner area (such as Calypso Gateway), further ammo can be purchased from Trade Terminals (aka TT's). One other thing to consider is that the gun you received in the beginner mission may be (L) .. ie Limited, and cannot be repaired so it will 'break' after a period of time. (Not on Next Island tho, the beginner gun there CAN be repaired). To see how much usage is left in the gun, check the TT value of the gun in the Item Info Window . Use the icons at the bottom of the window to change between views if needed. If you mouseover the status bar there, it will show you the % usage remaining. |

Nether gun is limited and this has been a problem I've had for a long time. I can only use my sword. I actually quit playing this game twice out of frustration. both guns at 100% plenty of ammo of both types. One gun is sollomate Opalo and the other is NIP.

Ok, so that's a new one
![]() Would you mind taking a screenshot that shows how it looks when you have say the opalo equipped, and > 1ped of laser weapon cells in inventory? (No need to buy BLP ammo, as both the opalo and NIP use laser weapon cells.) Upload the screenshot to the Gallery here, and then post the link to it. Feel free to add me to your Friends List from the Player Register window ingame too if you like

Will do I also have issues with the map not working properly. I have this game on a different computer and the same thing happens this character, Podcayne Richter is bugged on the entropia server. I need to get someone from entropia to fix this. I went to Next Island when it was brand new and have been there since. There is also a problem with uninstalling the game. I cannot find where it is hiding the huge files for the game. And when I uninstall it and re-install it runs right away with no download time. Where is it putting the files? I searched for it and all I find is the installer and a few empty folders.

There is a known bug with the map on Next Island (and Rocktropia) at the moment. I expect this will be fixed in the next patch (hopefully tomorrow).
Try opening the map window, then do a lil clik&drag on the map, sometimes that will let the map show, though you might have to zoom out to see where you are. Have you looked for the following folder?: C:/Users/Public/Entropia Universe That's where a bunch of EU data is on my system anyway

Seems that it found the files on the second un-install and now it's downloading the 4.5gig file gonna take about an hour. Lets see if that fixes my gun bug. I really appreciate all your help, thanks.

... while Serica is away, post them anyway : some of us might be able to help as well
![]() As she says though: the usual deal with guns and ammo is: buy the ammo, and equip the gun. Once the gun is in your hands, any ammunition in your (carried) inventory (see the "i" button, and the "gun shaped icon tab") will automatically be processed once you "use" the gun. In order not to waste ammo I usually recommend for starting players to drag the name bar of their target creature off the creature and then simply click/double-click the name bar when you have the gun in hand. That will attempt to auto-move you into range and fire your gun for you. You may get messages about being out of range (failed to move into interaction range) if the monster moves but repeating that a few times will get you firing. If you're still having issues though, a screen shot of what your game looks like once you have the gun equipped would be very helpful for us to see if we can see anything wrong. Good luck! |
