Hi came to entropia looking for investment ideas. But decided to recline due to the unstable enviroment.
Was welcomed by many nice people, including Chuck Caly. Went on with my day and explored the planet and studied the economy and how stable it was.
Deposited $20.00 Usa max till get my cc verification code. Flew around calypso talk with who i could and came to conclusion i would not invest in game. So decided to donate what i bought to chuck caly cause he welcomed me at port A and was seeming to be doing good for people.
Donated a Quad fighter , oil full pixie male gun ammo etc. Told him i work till sunday and would like to be around for give away. He said sure it will be held Sunday at 9 Pm eastern time! Well i show up no chuck Caly hotplanet rock. Try to add him as friend denied then a by stander that she on vent vent with him she says he on hunting run and decided not do event cause R3d ill wtf. Well guess he showed true colors could have showed up in person guess he took the goods and ran ! To all joining the game learn from my mistakes trust no one!

Then i say relay to him im sending support case and posting my dealings with him
Then he comes out begging to chat. script copies available upon request now filing civil case and called police to investigate his action and illegal music in usa to make sure he has copywrite rights to the songs he plays! (Thank god USA now enforcing this to the max

Sorry to hear you had such an experience. I have been playing since 2005 and can say there are many great people here, but also some not so great people.

It is a very complex game to learn and not one and one that requires a lot of time investment to really do well.

I have a small circle of people that I trust with implicitly, several of whom I know in real life, but I would never trust someone here that I have only known a few days just like I would not donate money to a charity in real life that I know nothing about.

No was not looking at investing time as in game play as in investing money for a return.

You had the misfortune to meet up with someone who has a reputation for shennanigans.

If you want to invest money in game for a return the least effort, most reliable way would be to buy calypso land deeds. That will get you a share of planetary revenue and is dependant on the volume of player activity.

Truth be told I think you've been a little naive.. How could you trust someone so easiley? Would you trust anyone to hold your wallet for you outside the super market? Don't think so.. get some brains and then come back to entropia.. anyone with loads of peds can easily earn some more.

As the others pointed out: you had very bad luck running in the wrong person in your first days in Entropia. Without being offensive I want to point out some issues here I think you should reconsider:

You started the OP with the remark that you wanted *looking for investment ideas*.

* I ask you: did you do your homework? In other words: you know where you were investing? You explored the market? You did surveys on what is wanted by the public? You set up a sound bussines plan? You know how the EU market works? You know what goods are available, where there is an abundance and where is shortage? Did you thoroughly studied the inworld mechanics? You met well known traders and crafters so you know your possible competition? You took in account that it takes a company in RL 5 years to break even? That having set backs is part of a bussines and you have to have some reserves to deal with that? What is a sound starting capital and what is best starting point to actually invest? You know your customers? How to build a mutual trust with your customers?

If you cant answer these questions with a yes I suggest you approach Entropia exactly as you mentioned: a game. And having fun for 20 bucks is still cheaper then going to the movies or hitting a pub.

And besides: you give your items to a complete stranger? Don't be surprised that things turn out bad. MA has a very important rule: all trades are final. So your case with MA on this person is pretty useless. He did NOTHING against ToS.

Chuch Caly Rock'n Roll is a known scammer who has been banned from the game many times and who has been known to have many alts.
