Exclamation Do many people play this game?

There are 5 planets, does each planet have at least 1000 players on it at any one time? I hope it is a lively world. I also really enjoy pvp but I guess there is no world pvp right? No factions to join or any good vs evil sort of thing going on?

I am playing this game for about 2 weeks now, and I already know that all of this is a part of this game. Why don't you download it and try it out?

I smell a troll here btw.

It has a lot of players at any given time. The most populated planet is Calypso and next would be Arkadia. All the planets have their charms and is worth while visiting.

My suggestion, if your one who doesn't mind throwing in some money now and then then you can choose your planet how ever you want..

If you just want to try it out an see what you think, I would start with Calypso or Arkadia..

As for pvp there is a nice spot on Calypso called the rig and has the potential to gain some free oil that pumps out of there, but you may have to try and defend yourself as there are others there that want it as well.. Great way to experience pvp without too much hassle!

Next I would try the Hub on planet Cyrene as it is more of the pvp style you would find in most shooters.. You will need to deposit some cash as you have to buy a weapon and armour from the trade terminal on the hub. These weapons can not be used anywhere else other then the hub, but it has the fun factor of regular pvp.

Here is a list of all the planets forums. I would do some research on all of them before deciding one planet or the other..

http://www.planetcalypsoforum.com/
http://arkadiaforum.com/content.php
http://nextislandforum.com/
http://cyreneforum.com/
http://www.neverdie.com/content/

and another forum that covers the whole of EU as well as this forum

http://www.entropiaplanets.com/forums/

In the end, this game has a steep learning curve and requires some outside of the box thinking.. in the end it can be a lot of fun or make you cringe! Gl and have fun!!

I don't have a gaming computer Im getting one for Christmas so I can't play this. I guess there is no way to get an exact number of how many people are on each planet at any one time. How many realms is there?

Again, is there any good vs evil sort of thing going on?

What things can you do in this game? Are there group quests and raids in dungeon sort of places against giant bosses?

From my Impression of this game, the things you can do are hunting, quests, pvp, exploring and space pvp. There is space pvp isn't there?

Is there world pvp in certain areas of the map? On all the planets.

Sorry for so many questions, Im just contemplating whether I should play this game or not.

There are 5 planets (so far, more planned to be introduced later), each with their own features and storylines. The planets (in order of age) are: Calypso, Rocktropia, Arkadia, Next Island, Cyrene.

Calypso is the only planet to presently offer team-based quests (aka beacon missions), although the Arkadian Underground is expected to open soon. All planets have solo missions which may be completed (no missions are compulsory afaik).

Activities on all planets include hunting, mining and crafting. Arkadia is the only planet to offer 'treasure hunting' which is an additional mining activity.

All planets have some areas of non-lootable PVP (although on Arkadia it is presently limited to a single 'ring'), and most planets also include lootable pvp zones. Cyrene offers a specific pvp zone called 'The Hub', with lootable tokens which can be exchanged for items.

All of space is lootable pvp.

Okay thanks for the info, what about when you are moving around the world? Do you often see other players and do all the pvp zones have a lot of activity?

Also when you are in cities/hubs are there constantly tons of people around.

I just hope this is a lively game, I hate playing MMO's that are not so populated, I hope each planet has at least 1000 people on it 24/7. To bad there is no stats for the game to see that.

If you want a bigger population, stick with Calypso, and find Twin Peaks TP. That's a trading hub of sorts, but don't expect to get the best prices there since a lot of resellers want to make cash so they buy low and sell high over and over and over, which means they won't give you the really great prices on stuff you sell them all the time, and they might be selling for a lot higher price than you can get from buying from crafters and/or shops in various locations... Actually I think some of the resellers actually buy from the malls a lot and then turn around and either sell the stuff for a few peds more than they bought for on the street or in the auction -- best example is stuff you'll find at Buzz or Auktuma's shops, but there's lots of other shops in game where similar things happen.

I'm not at all into pvp, so hard to give you an answer there. But if you were to join one of the pvp-based socs, I'm sure you'd see a fair bit of action.

As I'm mostly mining these days, I spend lots of time out in 'wilderness' away from other players But when I do come in to the busier areas I see quite a lot of people.

Until you experience the game, it's hard to really understand just how BIG the total map area is, when you combine all the planets and space.

Keep in mind that EU does not use shards - the whole playerbase is in the same Universe, transiting seamlessly around and between planets. Socs like mine may be spread over all 5 planets, but we can all talk to each other in the same chat channel.

Why not wait til you have a computer that can handle the game, then give it a try? You'll soon know whether this is the game for you or not I arrived on Calypso nearly 6years ago now, and despite being ingame for hours every day, I've never got tired of it!

As others have said, you really just need to try it to see how you like it. It's different from other games... it's not so much a game as a virtual world. If you want to be alone, you can be alone, if you want to be surrounded by other players, you can do that. If you want to get a big group of players together and hunt boss mobs with newbie guns, you can do that. If you want to start a business to make money, you can. Really, the possibilities are endless, and that's one thing that makes it unique.
