Hi every one,
I'm creating this post to gather knowledge about the use of entropedia weapon table. Don't know about you, but when searching witch weapon i may use on witch mob, i'm trying first to check on entropedia, before making a thread like "hey witch weapon should i use for this mob??" but i already had to create some because entropedia is only in english... and for someone witch it's not his/her former language, well ... watching at the table you end a bit lost, even for english readers, some acronyms and definitions aren't really clear aspecialy for new commer's. So let's first follow this link : http://www.entropedia.info/Chart.aspx?chart=Weapon This is entropedia weapon's table... Pretty complicated ain't it? well let's try all together to learn more about it. 1 . The first column to the left got small squares that you can check, Tick the boxes. Clik on the tab at the top of the page that says 'Show Selected'. The table then shows only those you've ticked. (Serica) 2 . The second column is pretty clear that's the name of the weapons, you may sort them by alphabetical order if needed. 3 . The Third column show you the class of the weapon, this must be thinked before choosing a weapon you'll use. Are you more gifted with a carabine or a pistol? Maybe the way of the sword is your thing, so you'll choose a melee weapon, but not only swords are melee, so choose carefully considering the skill you're good in or want to become. Here are the class shown there and the description i can make about them (do not hesitate to reply to this thread if you got a better definition or informations i'll edit the thread then) : Pistol :This are handguns can be used by any avatar, less heavy than other weapons they usually are faster. Carbine : Type of long range weapon, using ammo like handguns less shots per minute on the carabine compared to rifle but more dmg (Razvan Cash) Flamethrower : BLP weapon type but it adds the ability to set the enemy on fire to do damage on time (Serica)(Venture Bros) Melee : Weapons for close range fighting, using durability instead of ammo, better watch carfully the durability/decay to choose if it worth the use. Rifle : Almost the same as Carabine, more shots per minute on the rifle but less dmg per shot (Razvan Cash) Mindforce : This a chips, you have to insert them in an adapted implant, using different types of ammo (mind essence that can be light, synthetic, or simply regular mind essence) Support : Support weapons are grenade and rocket launchers. ie weapons that give the skill 'Support Weapon Systems' (Serica) Attached : Attached weapons are those that can only be used when attached to vehicles.(Serica) Cannon : Hand-held cannon.(Serica) Mounted : Same as Attached. I've now combined these classes so that all show as Attached.(Serica) Here is now the fifth column the type of weapon You can find there : Axes : heavy type of melee weapon BLP : ranged weapons using BLP pack Clubs : Close range weapons Cryogenic : Ice type mindforce using mind essence as ammo Electric : bolt type mindforce using mind essence as ammo Gauss : If anyone has info on this one i never used it Grenade : Type of weapon using explosive projectile (i think) if anyone can confirm Laser : ranged weapons using Laser cells Longblades : Well... a type of sword with a long blade, slower than short blades but more damage need confirmation for that Powerfist : Knuckles, glooves things like that, type of melee weapon Pyro : Fire type mindforce using mind essence as ammo Rocket : If anyone has info on this one i never used it Shortblades : Knives, fast and sharp, not much damage in comparaison to longblades Support : If anyone has info on this one i never used it Whip : A special type of melee weapon, not really used for fighting but seems to allow you to tame some animals Hehe sorry if it takes time to analyse every step of the table, but thx to you all whom are helping in this project Last edited by angel feather; 10-24-2012 at 09:12. |

Note that you can use the tabs as the bottom of the page to filter the table to show just a single class. |

Rifles appear in the Rifles section in Auction. Carbines appear in the Carbines section on Auction. Flamethrowers - well the weapon name is a bit of a giveaway there. |

Flamethrowers are actually very eco (the tt one from cyrene) if you give it time to apply the burn damage before you shoot again.

And while all flamethrowers may skill the BLP Sniper profession, not all BLP rifles are flamethrowers. |
