Question: How to teleport?

I'm having a problem figuring out how to teleport. I have found a number of "televators", but only one teleporter that goes to one place--back to Calypso Gateway. Once at Calypso Gateway, by the way, I can't figure out how to teleport back, so I am stuck finding the spaceport, which isn't easy and always forces me to hike through the mountains, so I am afraid to use the teleporter in Port Atlantis anymore.

According to the instructions, you right click on the teleporter and a map should show up allowing you to select a destination and then click on a button at the bottom of the map to teleport. When I right click on "televators" of course, I get no map, so clearly the televators are not teleporters. So I am unable to locate any teleporters apparently.

According to another post, if I get stuck in Calypso Gateway, which I don't mind because the creatures are easier to deal with there, there is a teleporter on level 2. Level 2 of what? And why does the teleporter to Calypso Gateway I found in Port Atlantis dump me off out in the middle of nowhere not near a teleporter but at some outpost . I am able to find the camp, but I have to drive there.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The 'Gateway' teleporter in PA is there to show people the new 'training grounds' for new people to the game. It may disappear at some point.
It requires you to go to the spaceport because new people are supposed to be trained!

If, in PA, you go up the steps behind the 'gateway' (looking at it with the sea behind you) and turn right at the top, and make for more stairs until you reach the highest open level, you will be close to the main PA teleporter.

If you operate that I suspect that the only other destination available will be New Oxford.

The rules for teleporters on Calypso is that you have to go to them by other means before they become available as targets.

In PA there are two other teleporters. One is on the end of the pier that is near the 'gateway'. The other is on the roof of the mall.

In addition, if you have gone all the way through the starter area (Thule) then when you arrive at Camp Icarus there is a teleporter there if I remember correctly.

On the Gateway: just follow the mission chain till you arive at the space station. Its south east from the starting point. You can locate it when you see a red vertical beam. Talk to the NPC in front of the black VTOL in the hangar to get back to planet calypso. You will arrive at camp Icarus a little north from Port Atlantis. The reason you start in *the middle of nowhere* in the Gateway is cause thats the starting area for newcomers. Its basicly a tutorial. Personaly I like the design, both the scenery as the mission chain.

In Port Atlantis are several teleporters (not to be confused with televators). One on the middle pier in front of the stairs that leads to the social, equipment and the economy buildings (New Arrival teleporter/ PA Marina). And there is a teleporter in the mall in PA I think where you spawn on the top floor or roof.

I had a feeling I just hadn't seen the teleporters in PA yet. I knew they had to be there. I can understand about us newbies needing to go through training. I went through it, and it was very helpful. Still not sure I understand the location of the Spaceport in the Gateway, but hopefully I won't make the mistake of ending up back there again anyway.
