Planet Calypso: End of an Era Directors Cut!

Due to changes in how long videos can be on youtube, i am pleased to present to you, the original cut of Planet Calypso: End of an Era

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fn69_hnJDNM&feature=player_embedded[/ame]

Videos of most places worth seeing in vu9.4 can be found here, theres a couple on my channel uploaded recently not included in this playlist

The Original concept for this video was just to create a short musical tribute to the old version of the game, however it gradually gained momentum and evolved into a bit of a documentory film/fan fiction taking what happened on that final night and then extending to the next level.

This film gave birth to a new entity that will be launched properly late 2011 early 2012, Entropia Productions.

    About Entropia Productions
Entropia Productions is a new non profit film production entity that is currently working on creating entropia inspired machinima films using the Cryengine 3 Sandbox, it aims to push the boundarys of what has been done and what is possible to the limits. We are Currently in the process of writing a screenplay for our first major production using this new setup.

Here are some examples of what is possible with cryengine 3 for cinema

Always bring a tear to my eye seeing old version.
Cryengine may have better graphics, but it lacks, or the designers lacked the spark that set vu9 and below apart.
The skeleton that danced his last dance, and got no peds, the statues etc.
    all gone :\
I liked the places of interest maps people posted, now it's just cut and paste, with some brush and trees thrown in.

Anyway, plus rep for the fond memories

Im not sure its possible to have bugs to that detail in a game enviroment, since that was made for film usage it woudlnt have been designed purely to take into account real time playability of it all.

And film usage of ce3 is rendered frame by frame at extremely high resolution and then edited together in a video editor to make it a video, so doesnt matter at all if it lags, as it wont stutter one bit, being every frame etc.
