As see what people actually seem to use for it, it appears to be Kismet Laser for pilot seat.

Normally, vehicles have slot names and same slot names appears on the weapons so you can see that way which weapons fits on which vehicle (though without knowing which one is for pilot and which one is for passenger). Though Quad Wing doesn't have any slot name(s) on it.

It would be fun to know if you can use quad wing weapons (Kismet Laser and Porcupine gun) on a vehicle like Sleipnir (VTOL).

You can't. Those weapons are only for Quads.
