Gl with the project. For good measure I'd love it though if one spokesman from Mindark could verify that this is indeed a trustworthy (semi-official?) project before I look into it.

I can confirm and reassure everyone that the Entropia Emissary program is indeed official.

The MindArk and SocialType teams have been working closely together very dilligently on this project for more than six months now, and both teams are very excited to get it launched.

I thought the Emissary Program was for people that represented Entropia at conventions? Why use the same name for this referral program?

The participants who helped promote Entropia Universe at conventions were called Entropia Ambassadors.

This new social networking promotional tool developed together with SocialType is called the Entropia Emissary program.

Why require a facebook account for a referral program? Seems to be needlessly exclusionary, as well as more costly then launching a more inclusive referral program would have been. Then later that program could have been tied into more things, optionally if wanted. Seems if the 80/20 rule holds here and I think it does, probably even more so, a quicker launch with a conventional referral code would have been cheaper and more useful.

The Entropia Emissary program is much more full-featured than a traditional referral program, as it harnesses the power of social networks and allows MindArk to have a much more active role in the way that Entropia Universe is promoted. The platform also provides MindArk a very effective platform for distributing fresh promotional materials on a regular basis to existing participants acting as Entropia Emissaries.

The propietary platform developed by SocialType is brimming with unique features and tracking tools that help ensure the maximum effectiveness of our promotional efforts.

I would suggest waiting until after the Emissary program has been launched and active for some time before drawing conclusions about whether other types of promotional programs might have been preferred. I think many of you will be quite impressed with the Emissary program once it is in full swing.

My friends are not on facebook either. I have gotten friends to try the game in the past. I will stop till you open a way for me to refer them as well I guess. I know there is no way I will get them to sign up for facebook just to let me refer them, though they would have no problem clicking a link I could email or im to them.

While it is true that a Facebook account is required to participate in the inital launch of the Emissary program, the SocialType platform is not limited to Facebook alone. We expect to allow Entropia Emissaries to promote Entropia Universe on many different mediums that will be added in the future.

Also, I think this is one of the things you used the CLD money to help fund? Just what planet partner will the sign up for this program goto?

Work on the Entropia Emissary program was started before the Calypso Land Deeds were offered, and is not funded by the proceeds from the deeds.

New users will have the ability to select which planet they wish to join in the Genesis new arrivials area that they enter when creating a new avatar.

Found some bugs - dont know a better spot to post it.


If you got an msg from an friend - and follow the link. The picture and name from the friend is shown where the own pic and name should show up.


Also if you change your account on the same computer - the pic and name will stay the other.
