Does MM 2012 end at 23:59 January 6th 2013? Ive been hearing other remarks from players and I saw something that led me to believe the participation ended on the 14th not 6th. So which is it please?

Can anyone plz help me? Officially on the page it ends in @ 12 hours. But Ive heard from more than 1 source that it was extented... Just curious.
