I'm Helping a friend via Team Viewer to get him on Entropia but its downloaded but everytime I launch it, it says

Could not start the updater application

Its a Vista

Try restaring the computer.
(Deeply more technical: Check task manager and kill any client loader process that might be running in the background...)
