Question: Client loader download not working?

Hello, as the title suggests the client loader download (from the webpage) is not working for me. Anyone else having this issue?

the download wont start and after a while i get a time out message from the browser.

Internet connection is just fine, everything else works.

Where did you find the download link? As is what place did you log onto to start the download?

Ok I went to entropiauniverse.com and downloaded from there. I am able to download Calypso at 2 plus mb/sec atm of 7 gig. Of course Calypso is the biggest download, but if you choose say Arkadia or other planets, it will be less of a download.

I do recomend Calypso, Arkadia, or Rocktropia as a starting point.

Let me know if this is still an issue for you.

Thank you for the your reply. I went to entropiauniverse.com .... download and then "download entropia universe installer". This still does not work for me. I also tried downloading the installer from the planetcalypso web page. No luck either. Still getting the timeout message. Downloads from other web pages work just fine.
Is it possible to copy the whole directory from another pc?

This reminds me of some of the errors people got with downloading after VU10.

Advice given then was:
1. Go to Visual C++ runtime update (that's a Microsoft Download Centre page).
2. Download and install the vcredist_x86.exe on that page, EVEN if you're on a 64bit OS! It's the x86 you need.

Not sure why some need to do this and some don't, but I do recall doing a fresh download to my lappy last year that had some issues until I installed that update above.

Thank you for your reply. I tried the C++ thing, still no luck. I ran entropia on this machine before, so I know the download worked at one point.
I will try to get the client loader somewhere else.

In that case, I wonder if it was completely uninstalled ?
There may be some remnant of an earlier version that is preventing a fresh download.
