VSE Tools

My thoughts are that increasing skills should make you better in a proffession, but sweat gatherer proffession levels don't really make a difference. So, what I was thinking is making more VSE tools. We start with the Mk I which implies that there could be higher leveled VSE tools. My suggestion is to: Give higher leveled complimentary VSE tools at various proffession levels. What I was thinking is MA could give a VSE MK II to an avatar when he/she reaches level 25 in the sweat gatherer proffession, a VSE MK III when he/she reaches level 50, a MK IV when he/she reaches level 75 and a MK V (which would be the last one) when he/she reaches level 100. The VSE tools would be the same as the MK I except in the case of range and amount gatherered per pull. I was thinking that the MK II could have, say, a 40 meter range and have the chance to loot 2-6 bottles per pull instead of 1-4. the MK III could have a 50 meter range and have the chance to loot 4-8 bottles per pull. the MK IV could have a 60 meter range and have the chance to loot 6-10 bottles per pull. and the MK V could have a range of 70 meters and have the chance to loot 8-12 bottles per pull. This would make sweating much funner for those like me who do almost nothing but sweat and it would make gaining sweat gatherer skills more usefull

Great idea Ever since syntethic was introduced that sweat prices has been getting lower and lower.. too low atm, need a way to collect more faster.

Oh, don't give MA this idea. What you are suggesting is that we do away with the free VSE tools and go with full (L) or (UL) VSE tools which would need to be replaced or repaired which of course would then cost the players more money just to keep the tools up to speed. Nine, you have killed sweating!

rofl not think sweat prices at a all time low never mind bringing something dumb like this out? after the auto tool sweat prices dropped now you want the to drop more? wow.... sad

As much as I appreciete Florencio's input, I don't think it is gonna work due to a couple of reasons

* the sweat market is allready saturated, players have been harvesting in the past, either for market reasons or buying from new players out of philantropic reasons. The reserves are quite mindbogling
* use for sweat has greatly diminished with the introduction of vehicles (less need for teleporting) and synthetic Mind Essence (heal and elec chips)
* with the reasons previously mentioned and the fact that MF skilling is one of the hardest and non eco way to skill....the incentive to go that road is quite low. Not to mention that the first investment is quite high.
* sweating has never been ment by MA to be a steady source of income. On a personal note: kuddo's to them who made it as non-depositers...you guys sure have some stamina
* thus adding more sweat to the allready saturated market will only make DROP the price more

Be real: if it takes you prox 8 hours to collect 2 k of sweat and sell it for 10 PED (that were the prices when I started).....thats lousy. Get a litlle RL job for some bucks. Say you make $25 an hour being a paper boy (just an example) and depo $10= 100 PED. You still have $15 to spend on beer and pizza. I'd say: happy hunting!

I still do sweat at times, partly for some skilling, partly for the social part. Sweat price rants always make me smile

Aeon...*the sweat must flow*....lmao..think the EU economy is slightly different from Dune...I want sandworms in EU!!!!....allthough the Hussk came pretty close

btw: I wouldnt mind if MA had kept all MF activities with regular sweat as Im an avid MF heal user. But Im glad I can buy SME any planet Im at.

Vehicles use sweat, synthetic me didnt affect price since barely anyone used attack etc before it, 9.4 sweat exploit is what started the huge sweat price fall pushing it over the edge...

Agree Stave,

A question though: you mean sweat is used in crafting vehicles? Even if that is so....it will be a drop of water on a hot plate (as we say here) on the usage of sweat.

I agree in the use on attack chips...they are barely competative with any weapon. And way harder to skill. I use my elec chip just to push my MF heal skills. And as far as I can see even MF healing is losing it's "appeal". Which I personaly think it's a shame. But that's besides the point.

I didn't want to mention the exploit....but yes ..that added as well.

Word went that MA is considering introducing something like sweat sinks...but that's a while ago now. I think the whole sweat system should be seriously overhauled. Or somehow be restricted to MF users only. I'm glad I don't have to figure that one out. Maybe even better abolish the whole sweat possibilty. But that prolly would piss off a lot off pple who invested in sweat (or thought they did). Acranoid suggested a brawl experience for newcomers in a previous thread and that had a nice ring to it.
