Will we ever see app for android / iphone to allow us to:

• See the society chat

• See the status of the auction: offers, etc.

• see the society terminal

You may not be able to perform operations on this terminals only see the status of them, in order to decreases the risk.

There is already an app that "performs operations on terminals":

It is called "official EU client".


Providing a different interface for other applications only increases the risk when the user authentication is less secure - there is no real reason why it should be made less secure though.

I think that MA is looking into this as we speak. They have some ideas but not sure where they are going with it atm.. If I remember correctly, there was a post about this somewhere on pcf..

I think one of the recent radio interviews MA mentioned looking at mobile apps to do things like auctions and even crafting.

Wow! that's great news! I think, given the tendency to grow in hardware demands and frequent client updates, that make you can connect to client only in special computers with the EU client installed, bring the ability to connect with some aspect of the game beyond where I am (work, transportation, during lunch, etc.) will increase my commitment to the game. I just hope they do not delay as much as 10.0 VU

Edit: Money spent playing on app is money not spent on Caly for a part of it

No idea what you meant by "goes out of", but the CLDs got nothing to do with MA profits/expenses - only planet calypso profits - hence the CLDs are not affected.


From what i understood so far is that MA is not going to pay for the development of that app, they licensed a 3rd party to create it (on their own, 100% their risk) and get a little share of every sold copy as a license fee.


It's only MA involved and not planet calypso or it's shareholders - even if planet calypso would pay for something like that, they'd do it from their 25% share of the profit and not from the 25% that are paid out to CLD holders.
