As Rooster correctly points out there is still a long time before we have to name our Main Team of 12 and I won't be naming it until the deadline approaches.
Nearer that deadline I will announce a shortlist of 'possibles' from which the final 12 will be selected and those not picked will be 'first reserves' in case anyone drops out.
However I want to keep the interest and momentum going so I've now collected avatar stats from 22 of our squad members.
I've learned quite a few things from this operation, all good!
But it will mean I'll have one Hell of a tough job selecting the Main Team of 12.
The flip-side of this of course is that a lot of players, despite having good skills and equipment, won't make the Main 12 and will be in our Support Team.
This isn't a disaster for England though, far from it as the rules this year mean that they can still score points for us.
But I do feel bad that my decision will effectively deny some people of a chance, and it is only a chance of course, of a WoF Winner's Jacket.
Therefore I've decided that should England go on to win the WoF 2008 that would be reward enough for me and I would arrange a draw/lottery for someone in our Support Team to win my jacket.
Maybe the chance of winning a WoF jacket may entice more English avatars to sign up for us also.
But the main reason I'm doing this is to try to be fair to the majority of our talented and hard working support squad, who deserve at least a slim chance of sharing the spoils of victory.
