And just how many hangers does your average pilot own? Pardon me for being thick; but I'd assume they tend to own the one with their ship in it. And if they owned another it'd have another ship in it.
The thought of all the hideously expensive crashes and huge increase in spaceflight deathtoll is, in a universe where you don't die, wildly amusing.
