But you're still missing out on one of the major appeals of SLI/Crossfire. You don't *need* to buy 2 cards. You can buy just one card. And later, either because you need some more power or simply have more spending cash, you can buy the second card. And depending how long you wait, the 2nd card could be drastically cheaper than what you paid the first time.
