It works like this afaik.
You will always skill slower and slower the more skilled you get
there are certain gaps
Most of the times if you nearly reaching a certain lvl your skills gains will drop tremendously, alster you got the new rank your skill gains seems to increase for a while again.
Also some skills are different because you also have the skill miners who intend to drop extra bombs when getting for axample perception.
So you might think they got those skills because something valueble is near, but if its true who knows.
Equipment used also has to do with your skill gains, If I use opalo ill be happy to gain a point or 4 in a day, when im using something bigger Ill gain more.
So amp's SIB and all that crap should speed up your skill gains although the gain of skill per pec used might be worse.
And I think its save to say that your skill gains will always be the same as day 1 (unless some nerfs)
So if you have 10k skill you get exactly the same as when you have 1k skill.
