The problem is because EF resize images on upload it seems, so therefore you should use the resize option in Autoscreen to keep below EF's limit.
As far as I can see, EF resize the images by bytes, so use the function "Use JPEG Smart Quality, and set this to max 300kb. Then you should be good inside the EF upload limit.

Email recieved and checksum confirms that the image is original.
Remember all to use the "JPEG Smart Quality" option and set the KB to max 300, then there should not be a problem when uploading to
EF.
