I like the idea of some new professions. It will help diversify the game so some of us can have real sub-professions where we can better enjoy the economy of the entire game.
For Harvester skill/profession - I always thought that the corpses should remain in the area for a while. It adds to the games atmosphere. Maybe keep the corpse around until "x" minutes after respawn.
This would give the harvestor a chance to acquire materials even after the corpse has been looted.
