The minimum decay won't be an issue with atrax or atrox on ghost or any other armor you mentioned because they will always do more damage, and thus decay, than the minimum. The minimum decay for ghost is 0.89 pecs/hit, while the average decay for an atrax young on it will be 2.264 pecs/hit. The difference in decay between nemesis and ghost if they had identical protection against a mob would be just one percent, so IMO it's not worth the price difference.

As always, the most important rules when armoring are to not overprotect and to divide the damage as evenly as possible between plates and armor. The new formula for decay does not change that.
