Agreed. Going shopping is way too time consuming. Lots of lag (for me) in the malls and prices vary too much from one shop to the next.
With the auction, I can quickly compare both items and prices.
Unless I'm buying a Limited weapon from Photon or armor from Buzz I'm using the auction.
And that's my guess as to why shops aren't working.
