I usually auction any armor parts that have a markup of 50pec or more, but only if they are low-tt.
Put the buyout at tt+1 or 1.50 and it always sells. After auction fees, it's a profit of 50pec or a ped and someone gets the armor he's looking for cheap. Seems like a win-win situation.
Of course, it's virtually impossible to sell high-tt stuff. Might just as well tt it. Silly noobs.
