I would suggest, if
MA does not release you out of this Mentor/discipleship to stop at 599,x in prospecting and finish your experiment just bevor you reach 100%.
1) Mentor gets no reward and no points
2) He will be allways remembered to his bad behavoir when he opens his disciple display and sees you sitting at 99% completed
3) Community knows that you would reach the end in maybe dropping another 10 ped of bombs and this 10 peds does mont make any difference to your experiment.
PS:
I would love to call him 99% mentor every time I see him
