That doesn't mean evade is less effective, it mean the mob has a high hit rate. even though the are nub mobs, exasaur, combibo and cornundos all have incredibly high to-hit for their level of mob.
As discussed in other threads, they might hit you 1/3 times today, but tomorrow maybe 1/5. Thats

I notice the huge benefit of evade vs mobs such as : phasm, neconu, formicacida, atrox, atrax, cornanterion, aurli, kreltin
re: armour
i think a noob in ghost+5b/6a looks just fine. That's what I did and i couldn't figure out why everyone would say 'oh but gremlin has XXX dura' when gremlin sucks. For noobs as least. 4 points impact is a huge difference when you are hit every time. It's the difference between life and death a lot of the time when your hp is <120 and you faint at the sight of atrox provider.
