Mobs that hit you from a distance, even if the distance is hard to notice, give dodge skill. Dodge will help you avoid getting hit by other dodge mobs as often, but does not help you in pvp whatsoever despite what some say (think tests were done and posted in this forum on that subject). In pvp afaik, you get hit every single time, even with uber dodge skills. But if u plan on being a hunter, easy dodge skills are always good, happy skilling
