I don't think it has anything to do with that. Living in
EU (ehm..Euroland, not the game) you have to pay taxes of winnings from poker sites outside ehm..Euroland. (and Poker is classed as gambling). If the poker site is based within
EU, you don't have to pay tax from winnings, because the site has already been taxed then. Us Euroland citizens can hope that the same applies to
EU (the game) since it is based in
EU (Euroland).
