How often do you think CEOs of other big MMOs dine with their players? The night became a feast of fun and suprises.
The scenario became a reality for the hard-working ambassadors during the International Science Festival. MindArk wanted to treat them, and invited the footsoldiers to dinner at the restaurant and bar "Viktoria" on Friday the 18th of April.
As a suprise to all, including some of the MindArk event-staff, CEO Jan Welter Timkrans decided to pop by, together with programmer Tom, server-guru Lars, as well as Justin, Frank, and David from MindArk.
Globalling in real life
The minute everyone sat down, people were called to attention and requested to change their seats. The MindArk crew wanted to mingle with the regular Entropians, or perhaps they were placing themselves strategically for the next surprise?
Once seated, everyone was asked to look under the tablecloth in front of them. Just at that moment, the global-fanfare sounded throughout the room. It was only RobRoy's mobile phone that recived a text-message, but it couldn't be better timed. Under the tablecloth there were PED cards for each ambassador, ranging from 100 to 1000 peds.
Since giving PEDs to the MindArk staff seemed useless, the PED cards that had been found by the
MA Crew were distributed via questions and riddles. For example, a 100 PED card went to the person who could ask Frank the most difficult question. The question of course was "So, What about the egg?". The answer was as expected. "It will blow your mind".
Skalman's new profession
While waiting for the starters, Skalman stood up to talk about ingame economy -namely his own ingame economy. As known, Skalman makes his living playing Entropia, so the economy means alot to him. He shared with the crowd that he had found a new way of (hopefully) making money.
He took off his jacket...
...and turned around, revealing a shirt saying "Will pogo for peds" on the back. Soon Sodiak also joined, with a matching shirt. The pogoing twins were each rewarded with a PED card.
With the last person trying this trick in fresh memory, we can only say good luck, Skalman and Sodi!

CEO reads EntropiaForum
The night went on, and people grew more and more comfortable with each others company, players and crew alike. However, no matter how hard the designated reporter tried, Tom the programmer would not reveal any secrets about the universe. I suspect he had to repeat "I can't say" quite often that night.
Jan Welter impressed many with his vivid visions and well as his vast knowledge about not only of the universe (which is expected), but also the community within it. He shared that he does indeed read EntropiaForum often, and follows the discussions with great interest.
