One shot was normally enough to inflict more damage through vigi+6a (25 penetration protection) than the 150 HP limit, so unless you had a weapon able to do more damage to their 300HP(?) through their modified armour (forget what it was) you were normally dead before you even took the edge of their Heath.
As it was I think the only time they died was when they decided they wanted to, and stopped fapping.

Armour was surely a Jaguar from the looks of it, most probably their modified version.There were times when they got into trouble even while fapping though
