Your ideas are sound.... for one reason.... They would bring in a boost to the loot pool... Any auction purchases, a percentage going to loot pool, and shoping... again percentage of the fees going to the loot pool... Most likey it would be through a tax that would be added.... as long as its a fair one!!
I see the biggest benifit in ads.... Such as your airline tickets or ebay items or just ebay ads in general. Its already been said that these ads do add to the loot pool, so more would be better....
