You are absolutely right Nor Alien. If people start using
EU simply as a social networking platform or for shopping, services etc etc they will still buy clothes, fly in ships, get hair cuts which all benefits the "players" of
EU.
More than anything it is the advertising. Until
EU gets millions of sign ups the worlds media won't worry too much about it. But once enough people are visiting, really big dollars will start to flow in to in game advertising which will boost the loot pool.
I believe it is possible that ATH's could get significantly bigger. Wait for the day when you look in the chat window to see
