First off, I am embarrassed. I was indeed in the wrong building. I double checked the floor, but not the building.

I am glad it was a source of amusement for you all, and I developed several observations from this ... um ....mishap.
1.) I panicked. In this world of cyberspace, with all the threads on this forum about scamming, news on the media about identity theft, I panicked, and it drove me too far, I typed before I stepped back and thought. Next time I will try to think first, type later.
2.) The response of my society was instant and solid. Several soc mates were on the spot to see if things worked out okay. To them I apologize for crying "wolf" but at the same time I thank them for their support. The fact that they dropped everything to come and see if I needed help, made me feel, well, a part of something. Something bigger than myself all alone. The Rat Pack Rules!!
3.) The response from this forum. OMG I got home from work today after thinking about what I would say here, and I have 24 pages of response!! The variety from people truly wanting to help to the people jibing me for being a dope and being in the wrong building is amazing. I am actually quite interested in the fact that if someones apartment really did disappear (as opposed to them just being an idiot like me) but if it did, that the
EF community would respond in such numbers as awe inspiring.
4.) A suggestion to
MA art department: Perhaps all the apartments do not have to be identical. It is like when I drive by the "Projects" on the South Side of Chicago, 8 blocks of identical buildings. I cannot imagine living in a place like that IRL where every building is identical in every way, It would be easy to take the wrong "elevator" to the right floor and your key does not fit the lock. IRL I live in a house that is not the same as every other house on the block. Even in other cities in the game, like Genesis Amethera or Bilton Towers, there is some stuff in the lobbies that is different from one tower to another. Not at Sakura City, every lobby is identical, no signs nothing. Even at Genesis, there is a sign coming out of the lobby to tell you where the teleporter is. Not at Sakura. Sakura is, in the context of this game, a slum. Empty shops, no signs, no sidewalks, nothing. But it's all I got, and it is home, for now.
So the upshot is, I feel like a dope. Am I going to run and hide? Why? Like I am the first person playing this game to do something totally stupid? jeez I read threads all the time about people doing dumb things in this game. And let's go one step further, IRL. If everytime I did a stupid thing IRL I should run and hide, well, I would run out of hiding spaces. Does this make me a "Stupid Person (Avatar) ?? well, I do not think so, smart people sometimes do stupid things. Embarrassed? You Bet. Quit the game?? no way.
