As a part-time miner, I had to agree that losing a ship sucks.... Why a deed for the spaceship, it wouldn't be realistic. Instead put in a timer on the spaceship say...30 minutes where only the person who spawn it can claim it. After the timer is over, it free for all to claim.
Oh yeah ... make the timer so that it can only be seen by the person who spawn it.
And I also believe the spaceship is spawn by miner despite some stuborn protest from some quaters. (I believe most of those who protest might had nicked a few spaceship themselves and are trying to justify their guilt....
) - the evidence is too strong to say it just spawn "dynamicly" like fruit or dung.
