This really depends on what kinds of planets we get. If the topic or theme of a planet isn't related to Calypso it won't make sense to have the Calypso ubers have advantage over noobs. Though when the new planet is basically just another continent with the same gaming concept it would make sense.
Also concerning the transfer of skills it definitely doesn't make sense to skill some new skill on the new planet which affects some old skill on Calypso. Why? Because skills increase fast in the beginning and slow down over time. So basically if you'd skill a new skill to the extreme and end up "modified" on Calypso it would be strange from the logical point of view and unfair from the playing point of view.

MA is approaching the planet stuff.
