NRF Log Sharing - Upload 100 claims to access entire DB!

AS OF 14-AUGUST:

OVER 40K RECORDS AND STILL GROWING!

Analysis pages now work with Firefox and IE!!!

Site will now accept either Date format that NRF exports to <-- I have not yet updated the Instructions page, but trust me it works!

How to use the Analyis pages: The 'Analysis' link button takes you to a page where you can enter a Key which then grants you access to two new pages. There is one for Eudoria and one for Amethera.

To use the page, click and drag from top-left to bottom-right somewhere on the map. When you release the mouse button, a square will be drawn around that section of the map. Click the Submit button to get the claim types found in that region, and the average depth and size for claims in that area.

You get a key by contributing at least 100 records to the database (you also still get the entire database dumped back to you in csv format.) The key is good for 30 days.

Remember, if you have already uploaded your log, once you get 100 more you can just reload your whole log and it will filter out the duplicates for you.

Original post:

A couple of weeks ago I made this post: Log sharing site - If I code it would you use it?

And I got enough positive response that I decided to go forward with the project.

I just posted a site at http://www.entropiaminers.com

In summary:

If you use NRF you can export entries to XML. If you upload at least 100 new entries to this site, it will email you back a .csv file with all the entries in the database.

The entries must be recent (this year), valid (see the site, it will explain what I mean) and they must not be duplicates (although you do not need to weed out the stuff you uploaded previously, it will do that for you.)

I thought it would take me a few days or a week to get this done in my spare time (ha, what spare time?!) But it wound up taking me about 3 weeks; it was a lot harder than I thougt. However, I think I've got it working pretty well now.

HOWEVER, if you find bugs or problems I will support the best I can. PM me here or you can even send screenshots to my email (see the site) if you have trouble.

The site is programmed not to save your data unless you get your file. I'm not trying to harvest anyone's secret spots. But considering that it turned out to be more tricky than I thougt, there could be bugs that I didn't find during my testing. If that happens I will help the best I can as fast as I can.

Well I hope some of you find this useful. As I said in my other post, maybe with a master list of claim spots we will wind up with just the information we need to speculate wildly about how the EU loot and claim system works.
