You are cutting out the branch you are sitting on. Pay per call? Are you sure you want another way to suck your peds out? Decay, poor return rate and clothing/armor puting on tax is not enough for you? And are you sure that you want that everyone can give your "number" just to everyone else? For example to the beggars? IRL it's not accepted and polite behaviour to give someone's number to anyone without asking the owner. So I do not want to see such option ingame. I'm not very happy with random people adding me to their FLs.
Yes, you are right that we need improvements for communication system ingame. Personally I would like to see: list of contacts, with possibility to create cathegories of contacts and see them in tabs; ingame e-mail, so we could send messages to people who are offline at the moment, text communicator, just like the one we use now, ingame voice communicator. This all should come together with improving the society system, but we had some thread about it already...
About device... I would
MA to implement something like Pip Boy from Fallout series. It should be device which every avatar has since being created. This device should have 0 tt and just stay in inventory (like ped card). You could also place it on your forearm (just as cool gadget, it could be used without equipping too). Such device would have an icon on desktop (just one icon instead all those blue ones in the upper right corner of display) and would contain all options we have now (map, action library, transfer center) plus improved communication center with functions mentioned above. I would also add notepad, calculator, web browser, so basically most usefull current
PE Ass functions.
I think it's not a big deal for
MA modellers to create such device nor for
MA scripters to implement it's functions ingame. Removing all those rather useless icons
MA placed on our desktop would be good too, more place for our own ones for those, who need lots of them. We would have only minimap (radar), chat window, health bar (which could be reduced anyway) and equipped tool/reload bar. much more tidy, I think.
