dude.... My money is WAY more important than some stupid bug that makes you lose your icon when moving something in inventory...
I would EXPECT and DEMAND they check deposit accuracy daily. I'm sure they didn't 'scan through logs', as some have suggested. They ran a simple query asking for deposit accuracy (does $ in = PED out?), they found an error, then investigated further (check user deposit where $ in >< PED out).
I am extremely happy they found a bug prior to the user finding it. They're stance may have been a bit over the top. But, could you imagine a scenario where someone knows of a bug to gain more ped for free? In this example, it was only 4.59ped (0.006% gain), but, if a million dollars were deposited, it would have been an error of $6,000 (60k ped).
