Arrow Your Rising Sign

Sun Sign

Your regular star sign is called the Sun Sign. You can find out your sun sign, if you know what your date of birth is. We all know that right?! But what is your Rising Sign and what does it represent?

Rising Sign

Your Rising Sign explains your outward personality, that is, the personality that you project to others around you.

Your rising sign alters some characteristics of your sun sign. You may have noticed that no two sun signs are exactly alike in personality. This is because there are many other factors such as your rising sign, that affect your star sign characteristics. Your moon sign is another that affects your sun sign's personality as well.

What's My Rising Sign?

Your Rising Sign can be found if you know what time of the day you were born.

'Rising' relates to the dawn of the day you were born. The Earth rotates on its axis once each day. So at the time of your birth, there was dawn occuring somewhere on Earth and during that time when the sun rose up, there was a star sign constellation that was prominent in the sky at that very time. That star sign is your Rising Sign.

If you were born at dawn, your rising sign may be the same as your Sun Sign and hence you are more likely to be very typical of your star sign.

The time categories are below. Print this out and write your sun sign in the space next to the time category that best fits the time you were born. Then write the star signs, in order following on from your sun sign. Follow the same star sign order as on this page here: Order of Star Signs.

example
10am - 11:59am ________________________ Scorpio
8am - 9:59am ________________________ Sagittarius
6am - 7:59am ________________________ Capricorn (my rising sign)
4am - 5:59am ________________________ Aquarius
2am - 3:59am ________________________ Pisces
12am - 1:59am ________________________ Aries
10pm - 11:59pm ________________________ Taurus
8pm - 9:59pm ________________________ Gemini
6pm - 7:59pm ________________________ Cancer
4pm - 5:59pm ________________________ Leo (I am a Leo born at 5pm)
2pm - 3:59pm ________________________ Virgo
12pm - 1:59pm ________________________ Libra

Your Rising Sign is the sign you have written in the 6am - 7:59am category!

For Example:

A person born on 25th July, at 5pm.

Firstly work out what star sign they are. [They are a Leo]
I would then write 'Leo' in the time slot that 5pm fits into in the table above. [4pm to 5:59pm]
The next star sign after a Leo in the natural order of the star signs is Virgo.
I would then write 'Virgo' in the next time slot in the table above.
The next star sign after Virgo is Libra, then it's Scorpio.
I jump to the top of the table and write 'Scorpio', which was the next sign after Libra and so on, until all time slots have a star sign next to it.
I then look to the time slot of 6am to 7:59am. The star sign in this time slot, is this person's rising sign!
So now that you know what it is, go and read what your rising sign is all about and that is what the stars say about your outward personality!
