Maybe I'll voice my opinion on why I don't want any Ignore function.
First of all, ignoring someone only ends up creating more frustration, and incomprehension for both parties.
It's much better to let an arguing go on un-tamed
Maybe that's only me, but ignoring someone is so disdainful...
The only possible acceptable use I'd see to it is blocking spammer messages, but there are other ways to solve this... for example improving the spam filter, so It does not allow you to repeat the same big message with a dot or a = successively.
All in all I don't like the idea of being able to close your ears to certain people... there's already enough of this, no need to push it further
