Did I misuderstand the first post?
Was it not a question of what you wold do if you had 500/5k/50k dollar to invest. the only posts I find is about how to start the game.
What I would do if I had th given amounts to deposits to invest:
$500:
Continue to play my normal game, maby get sone nice laser amps.
$5k:
This one is hard since it wont allowe me to get anything that I want as an investment. So I would probably get loads of skills and loads of ammo
$50k:
This should be enough for a Land Area (LA) with some decent mobs, at the moment with the introduction of new planets and so on I think that I would wait until after the introduction before I bought one though.
OP, you seems to have a great attitude towards
EU. Preparations and smart investments can be made, as always it is all about timing and buying the right item at the right time. LAs for example is alot of peoples dream, but if/when you get the chanse to buy one make sure it is easy to reach (TP close by) preferably with a service center of some kind close to it, and that it has or that you can introduce some nice mobs to the LA.
My way of starting in
EU was to start hunting (as most Entropians) for me this provides the most fun for my peds. Hunt small creatures and your skills will go up quite fast. Set short tirm goals for where you want to be skill wise and strive to reach them.
EU is a fun place, but take it for what it is, it is coslty to reach the top (if you strive to reach there) and could cost alot of peds, but if you take your time and "play" smart you will have a great time here.
