I thinks its because so many posts have been started about the same subject people tend to ignore them now.
There is no knowing how well a mob will loot, skill should not come into the calculation regarding how much loot you get but as you said only how easy it is for you to kill it.
If predicting how well a mob would loot was easy
MA would have gone out of business long ago. Almost all of my globals have been accidents, my last was from an argo I wasn't even considering killing except it decided to attack me when I was trying to join a soc hunt.
Personally I follow the reasoning that all loot is completely random and the skill factor
MA always give to say it isn't gambling is how well we can use the equipment to actually kill it.
