After the single test with the cersumon I believe that the decay for every damagetype for one armour is the same. I agree that it is only a single test but it shows the exact same decay as the two tests with ambuls on the ghost so I think it is an evidence for it.
I added the relationship between decay and impact only into the diagram:

It seems to fit too for the tested armours. Both connections are showing a significant correlation to the pec/dmg in this chart (expressed by R²). But provided that my assumption about same decay for every damage type for one armour is correct, I'm afraid this impact - decay connection will become difficulte to fit into this correlation with armours that has big differences in some protection types. I.e. Chronicle has 70 stab but only 13 impact, which protection type will affect the decay here? Only but that are only my
