Quote:
LOS ANGELES and CHAPEL HILL, N.C., (May 18, 2005) - NDL, the leading independent developer of 3D graphics technology for the computer and video game industry, announced today that Gamebryo® 2.0 will ship May 31.

The Gamebryo 2 engine has been designed to take full advantage of next generation game consoles as well as the latest generation of PCs and 3D graphics cards. The Gamebryo 2 tools are designed to enhance productivity in the content generation pipeline, extending and simplifying the collaboration between artists, game designers, and programmers. Content requirements for next generation console games are significant, and Gamebryo 2 will enable developers and publishers to focus their resources on content creation and gameplay. The Gamebryo 2.0 release will fully support Xbox360.

Gamebryo 2 includes support for the latest rendering effects, including full screen pixel shader effects such as blurring, light blooming, “night vision,”edge detection and native in-engine support for advanced texture formats including High Dynamic Range (HDR) textures. Animation compression has been added to the animation system, which reduces memory overhead of animation keys on a per sequence basis with adjustable compression ratios. Gamebryo 2 also contains new performance enhancements to the scene management system to provide greater flexibility for parallelization.

Gamebryo 1.2, which supports the creation of computer and video games for the PC, Xbox™, PlayStation®2, and GameCube®, will continued to be available.
For those that dont know this is the company that MA bought there Engine from. WE currently use Gamebryo 1.2(i think at least) And as MA has recently upgraded to that Engine. I would guess that this new Gamebryo 2.0 Engine is at least in our future. Mabey not this next VU but sometime...

To me new avatar creation new Engine just kinda makes sense to me...
