I believe that children shouldn't be 100% sheltered from the reality; I mean, if my (not-yet-existant) barely able to speak kiddo asks me about some uncomfortable topic, such as death (Granny gone to heaven anyone?) or this, I'm going to answer in a way the kid would be able to comprehend, but with the facts intact.
Okay, this is probably just a random rant, but I'm happy that I'm not the only one semi- adult with a similar opinion. +Rep to Pinky for being a good, understanding mum.
