Yes i agree..The money was most likely ready for something.But you dont know if he didnot plan to bid on Emerald Lake Mall instead of PA.Or if he wanted to buy the two small malls. Mistakes happen.

Exactly....but there is a risk that he would lose the auction from a bug/lag during a bid battle.So this way he prevents that risk.
